Adam focuses on educational and social equity, economic development, and education.

• Over twenty years of experience in higher education settings, both as faculty and as an administrator, primarily at the University of California. Known for skillfully engaging in complex analysis while distilling complicated or esoteric topics and explaining them in a clear, thoughtful, and comprehensible manner.

• Adjunct faculty member at Northeastern (formerly Mills College), he supervises graduate and undergraduate theses in public policy, and teaches courses on research methods, government, politics, and law.
